We write the year 1984

It is spring and we have just laid the foundation stone for our winery on the slopes of the “Auf der Zech” vineyard. At this moment, it is not possible to imagine that our winery will develop into the precious wine estate of today.

Autumn 1984

Our new wine cellar located in the middle of vineyards is completed just in time for the new harvest and we can process the new grapes and store the wines here. Kaufmann’s winery has become the Zecherhof Winery.

We continue on our journey through time into the 90s.

We soon noticed that it is better to live where you work. Apart from that, we wanted to offer our wine customers and wine connoisseurs the opportunity to spend a holiday in the midst of the beautiful Moselle landscape.

Summer 1992

We can welcome the first guests to our newly finished guest rooms. The Zecherhof winery becomes the holiday wine estate Zecherhof.

1997

The response to a holiday in a winery is stunning and we decide to expand the Zecherhof even further. The self-catering holiday flats “Rotling” and “Chardonnay” allow more guests to spend their holidays with us.

The journey through time takes us on to the year 2003.

In order to improve the quality of holidays on the wine estate and to be able to present our wines we make the decision to build our round wine room “Ambiente”. At the same time a new self-catering holiday flat “Riesling” is created from the former breakfast room and one of the guest rooms. The other guest rooms are converted into the suites “Kerner” and “Dornfelder” and offer even more comfort. A third suite “Regent” is added to the building.

Today: We have come to the end of our journey through time.

Our Zecherhof holiday winery has not only changed its outer appearance. The quality of our wines, our range of products, our service and our passion for the Zecherhof has matured and we have achieved the desired high standard that we had been working for.
